Greater Health Matters

Greater Health Matters is a unique cooperative healthcare initiative of GBMC, the Baltimore Sun, and WJZ-13. The purpose of this initiative is to provide health education and information to the greater Baltimore community allowing consumers to make better, more informed choices to improve their health.

Each month GBMC physicians will provide our community with health information that will both educate and empower. The GBMC specialists will be discussing a different health topic during promotional television spots on WJZ-13, print advertisements in the Baltimore Sun and right here at www.greaterhealthmatters.com. The topics will be relevant and informational to health care consumers throughout the region. So check back every month to see health information from the experts at GBMC.

"This new Greater Health Matters initiative will bring GBMC physicians into the homes and lives of our community, providing individuals and families with the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions," states John Saunders, MD, GBMC Chief of Staff.

Adds Laurence Merlis, GBMC's President and CEO, "GBMC's new health education initiative will provide significant market exposure in the Baltimore area's competitive healthcare environment that will enhance our physicians' credibility and expertise in the local community.  The campaign will also proide an important public service by offering the community vital tools necessary to live a healthier lifestyle."
